It’s time to stop thinking of the Los Angeles Chargers as JUST an ‘offensive聽juggernaut.’With Philip Rivers having a career year at quarterback and the squad loaded at running back and receiver New Orleans Saints Kaden Elliss Jersey , it’s easy to see why the offense gets the headlines. This team has a ‘real defense.’On Tuesday during ‘The Herd’, host Colin Cowherd unveiled his weekly power rankings, with the Chargers sitting pretty at No. 3, behind only the Saints and the Chiefs New Orleans Saints Kaden Elliss Jersey , coincidentally, the Chargers’ foe on Thursday Night Football on FOX.‘They’ve allowed only 16 points per game since Week 5. They get you off the field,” Cowherd continued about the Chargers’ D. “They have a tremendous pass rush with four guys and no blitzing.”For the Rams, following their loss to the Bears Cheap Kaden Elliss Youth Jersey , Cowherd dropped them to fifth overall.“I’ve been cool on the Rams for over a month,” Cowherd admitted. “Jared Goff has multiple turnovers in three straight games. They really miss Cooper Kupp. The defense freelances too much.”Cowherd also said the Rams struggle outside the confines of the lovely Los Angeles area weather.Watch more in the video up top. Zach Strief played for the Saints from 2006 to 2017 and then became the Saints’ radio announcer in 2018. He knows the players on the Saints well. And Strief says he knows something NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said on Wednesday wasn’t true.Goodell said that he talked to the players on the Saints about the missed call that went against them in the NFC Championship Game, but Strief says that isn’t so.“We understand the frustration of the fans,” Goodell said. “I’ve talked to Coach Payton New Orleans Saints Kaden Elliss Jersey , the team, the players. We understand the frustration that they feel right now and we certainly want to address that.”On WWL Radio, Strief said he has reached out to Saints players and they’ve told him Goodell hasn’t spoken to them since the NFC Championship Game. Strief said the two players Goodell would have been most likely to reach out to, Drew Brees and Ben Watson Womens Kaden Elliss 2019 Jersey , both confirmed to him that Goodell didn’t talk to them. Strief said he does not believe any other player talked to Goodell either.“The man literally stands up on a podium and just lies. It’s mind blowing. He is the commissioner of the biggest sports league in the country, and it is totally cool with all the people who employ him, the 32 owners, that he just lies to everybody New Orleans Saints Wil Lutz Jersey ,” Strief said.Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas also said on Twitter that Goodell didn’t talk to the Saints. Goodell’s statement that he talked to Saints players came as news to Saints players.

Thema: Jarvis Landry Jersey White von linchao (Thu, 22 Aug 2019)
The Browns and Ravens put on a show to end the regular season Jarvis Landry Jersey White , but unfortunately, Cleveland’s season ended with a loss, falling to Baltimore 26-24 in a down-to-the-wire game. The Browns got the ball to begin the game. After a couple of good runs to start things off, QB Baker Mayfield had his first pass of the game tipped and picked off by CB Jimmy Smith, who beat WR Antonio Callaway to the spot.Baltimore converted it into a 38-yard field goal by K Justin Tucker to take a 3-0 lead. Mayfield responded immediately on his next drive, as he hit Callaway for 38 yards and then WR Breshad Perriman for a 28-yard touchdown to give Cleveland a 7-3 lead. Then it was Baltimore’s time to get hot, courtesy of QB Lamar Jackson’s legs. After a 24-yard run near the start of the drive, he finished the drive with a 25-yard run straight up the middle, untouched, as he faked out the Browns’ defense to give Baltimore a 10-7 lead.Cleveland went three-and-out on their next drive, coming up short on third down. Baltimore then did nothing but run plays on their next drive, gashing Cleveland at will with misdirections. Jackson then took it himself again for an 8-yard touchdown to go up 17-7. The Ravens’ first-half domination continued, as they added a 35-yard field goal to go up 20-7 on their next drive.Cleveland’s next drive wasn’t better. Mayfield, facing a 3rd-and-11, was picked off by Smith for the second time in the game off of a tipped pass. Inside of two minutes was a lot of craziness. At the goal line Nick Chubb Jersey White , Jackson jumped with the ball and stretched it to the goal line for a quarterback sneak, and the ball was punched out by Cleveland. SS Jabrill Peppers picked up the ball and would’ve had a walk-in touchdown return, but the officials signaled touchdown. Replay review overturned the touchdown, but because the whistle had blown, Cleveland could only recover at the 7 yard line.On the first drive of the next play, Mayfield found Landry deep over the middle for what could’ve been a 93-yard touchdown pass, but the ball hit Landry in the helmet before dropping into his hands, leading to an incompletion. The Ravens got the ball back and punted, and Cleveland was backed up with 0:35 left and two timeouts. They still decided to be aggressive, getting passes of 21 and 40 yards to get into field goal range. An offsides penalty allowed K Greg Joseph to come out for a 46-yard field goal attempt, but it was wide left, keeping it a 20-7 game at the half.Coming out of the half, Cleveland’s defense allowed one first down, but forced Baltimore to punt after that. Callaway then returned the punt 37 yards to give Cleveland the ball at midfield. On the first play, Mayfield faked a toss forward to RB Duke Johnson (who was coming in motion) https://www.brownslockerroom.com/authentic-baker-mayfield-jersey , and then found Landry wide open again up the seam. This time, he caught it and ran untouched to the end zone for a 48-yard touchdown, making it a 20-14 game.Baltimore’s run game picked back up on their next drive, and Jackson had another long rushing touchdown. This time, it was called back due to a rather ticky tack holding penalty, which helped lead to the Ravens only being able to get a 44-yard field goal. That put the Ravens up 23-14 mid-way through the third quarter. Both teams traded three-and-outs, and then Cleveland started their next drive with a 42-yard deep ball to TE David Njoku. The drive sputtered a bit after that, but was enough to set up a 35-yard field goal by Joseph to make it a 23-17 game with 13:45 to go in the game.Baltimore was given a favorable spot just beyond field goal range on their next drive for a first down. Gregg Williams should have challenged the play to make it 4th-and-short, but he didn’t. That allowed Baltimore to drain more clock and eventually get a critical 23-yard field goal to make it a two-possession game at 26-17 with just 7:20 remaining in the game.Cleveland put together another touchdown drive, this time with it being capped off on a 1-yard pass from Mayfield to Callaway. The touchdown also gave Mayfield the all-time record for most passing touchdowns (27) by a rookie quarterback. The score was not 26-24, with Baltimore on top with 3:24 to go.The Browns’ defense took both of their timeouts, setting up a 3rd-and-5. Meanwhile in Pittsburgh, the Steelers had just kicked a field goal to go up 16-13 on the Bengals with under two minutes to go. Jackson ran the keeper option, and was blitzed by the entire defense. His flip back to his outlet was fumbled (but recovered by Baltimore), leading to a punt with two minutes to go.The Browns got two remarkable catches to get on the verge of field goal territory (would have been a 57-yard attempt). But Baltimore brought blitzes on four consecutive plays Womens Jarvis Landry Jersey , and none of Mayfield’s passes could find receivers, with his fourth down attempt getting intercepted. What a season it was for Mayfield and company, though — Cleveland was 0-16 last year, but improved to 7-8-1 in 2018.Quick HittersQB Baker Mayfield: 23-of-42 for 376 yards, 3 TD, 3 INT.RB Nick Chubb: 9 carries, 24 yards. 2 catches, -4 yards (3 targets).WR Jarvis Landry: 5 catches, 102 yards (9 targets). 1 TD.WR Rashard Higgins: 4 catches, 86 yards (6 targets). Thema: In what will be welcome news to most Denver Broncos von chenyan94 (Wed, 21 Aug 2019)
fans Karl Mecklenburg Jersey , a league source has let Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk know that John Elway intends to fire head coach Vance Joseph at the end of the season. This report comes on the heels of another in which Elway tried to replace Joseph last year with Mike Shanahan. A scheme that was blocked by Broncos CEO & President, Joe Ellis, and led to Elway sleeping on it making the decision to stick with Joseph for another year. With just one more loss, the Broncos will finish with their first back-to-back losing season in over 40 years and Elway isn’t going to let that stand. Florio noted that there is always a chance Elway might changed his mind again, but as a fan I’m 100% certain Elway won’t be changing his mind here. It would be ludicrous to keep things stale during the worst stretch this franchise has had since 1971. There is reason for optimism as the Broncos won just 12 games between 2009-2010 and emerged with five-straight playoff runs and two Super Bowl appearances. With just 11 wins in the last two seasons, the Broncos are again facing major changes that will apparently begin with Vance Joseph’s ouster as head coach. But first, Denver has two more games to play. When Tim Tebow announced that he would play minor league baseball, most people thought it was somewhere between a joke and a publicity stunt: The 31-year-old Tebow hadn’t played since high school. It just wasn’t realistic to think he could amount to anything after so much time off.But Tebow, to an extent, proved the doubters wrong. Although he was far from the best player in Double-A baseball last year, he was at least respectable, and looked like a legitimate baseball player. This was no publicity stunt.Unfortunately Jared Veldheer Jersey , Tebow has moved up to Triple-A this year, and the early returns are ugly. The stats for the Syracuse Mets, Tebow’s team, tell the story. He’s last on the team with a .120 batting average, last with a .185 on-base percentage and last with a .200 slugging percentage. He has struck out a team-high 10 times and hasn’t hit a home run.“He’s still learning how to hit some of this pitching,” Syracuse manager Tony DeFrancesco told ESPN. “I mean, these guys are throwing 97, 98 miles per hour. They’re spinning the baseball. He’s making some adjustments.”A 31-year-old minor leaguer who’s “still learning” wouldn’t last if he weren’t Tim Tebow, so there’s no doubt that the Mets organization is giving him a longer leash than it would most players. But he’s going to have to learn soon, or else his hopes of making it to the majors will go from slim to none.

Everyone has loved Smith-Schuster since the day he donned the black-and-gold for the first time. But will they be singing the same tune in two years when his rookie contract is up and he wants to get paid? This is where the fact Smith-Schuster was a second round draft pick comes into play. Unlike a first round pick, the Steelers have no 5th year option on Smith-Schuster. The same was true for Bell coming out of Michigan State. When these young players out-perform every aspect of their contract, they want to be paid their worth. Only problem there is sometimes the team isn’t willing to give them that type of compensation. The NFL and NFLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) gives the team the ability to place the franchise tag on players, and Steelers fans know all too well what this is like after the fiasco that was Le’Veon Bell’s contract negotiations before leaving via free agency.ESPN writer Dan Graziano recently decided to see which players he thinks could be on the Le’Veon Bell path, and possibly walk in his footsteps a la sitting out an entire season, and Smith-Schuster was a focal point of his article.See what he had to say:Now that you know the background, here is a more detailed look at Smith-Schuster’s current situation, and if he could “pull a Le’Veon”.The numbers Graziano throws out there aren’t made up, and anyone who thinks Smith-Schuster hasn’t out-performed his current contract is a little crazy. The question here is the attitude of the player. Bell wanted to reset the market value for the running back position. He wanted to set a new standard. But not every player wanting a new contract desires to be the highest paid at their position. Will JuJu want to set a new standard? Will he want to break the bank? Or will this be a non-factor for the budding superstar? Let us know what you think in the comment section below!Steelers News: Can Keith Butler’s unit slow down the high-powered Ravens’ offense? The Pittsburgh Steelers are finally in the win column after their prime-time win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium. On a short week, they don’t have time to dwell on the victory, not with the Baltimore Ravens coming into Heinz Field for a Week-4, prime-time game on Sunday Night Football. Something I did last season and I’m going to start again is the Black-and-Gold Links article. This is an article where I take stories from quality news sources across the Internet, and add them here for your viewing pleasure. I won’t be posting the entire articles, but I’ll link each story and author so that you can read the full article. Today we talk about the Steelers’ defense now faced with stopping a very high-powered offense in Baltimore. No longer is it Joe Flacco turning and handing it off, and eventually heaving a prayer deep hoping for defensive pass interference. No Justin Hunter Jersey , with a revamped receiving corps, the Ravens’ offense is looking as lethal as ever, and Keith Butler’s unit will have their hands full.Let’s get to the news:Steelers look to slow down rejuvenated Ravens offenseBy: Joe Rutter, Pittsburgh Tribune-ReviewHistorically built around a stout defense, the Baltimore Ravens are back in familiar territory this season, ranking No. 1 in the NFL in fewest yards allowed per game and fifth in fewest points surrendered. On offense, though, these hardly are your father’s Ravens. The group that will visit Heinz Field on Sunday night to tussle with the Pittsburgh Steelers is no longer the plodding, run-the-ball, keep-the-score-close Ravens of yesteryear.Behind a rejuvenated Joe Flacco, the Ravens (2-1) not only are one of five teams averaging more than 30 points per game, they are doing it via the pass. The Ravens rank ninth in passing yards per game with Flacco enjoying his best start to a season in six years.Flacco is averaging 296 yards passing while throwing six touchdown passes against two interceptions.“He looks healthy, he looks good, he looks the best I’ve seen him in a while,” said cornerback Joe Haden Jerome Bettis Jersey , who has faced Flacco twice annually since breaking into the NFL in 2010. “He’s just throwing the ball on time and to the right place.”No longer dealing with back pain, Flacco is averaging 100 more yards passing per game than in 2017 when he had 18 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions while the Ravens went 9-7 and missed the playoffs for a third consecutive year. His 889 yards passing is his most after three games since he had 912 in 2012.“Joe is Joe,” inside linebacker Jon Bostic said. “He’s going to sling the ball across the field. He can do a lot of things on the run, he can extend plays. He can still get the ball down the field.”Steelers’ Antonio Brown vows: ‘The big plays will come’By: Chris Adamski, Pittsburgh Tribune-ReviewSeven times over a 5陆-minute session of meeting with the media Friday, Antonio Brown told reporters to “watch the tape.”The tape has been watched. And something that is on it — or rather, what isn’t — draws attention.Namely, big plays.Through three Pittsburgh Steelers games, Brown has not produced a play of more than 27 yards, and his average yards per reception (8.8) is the third-lowest of any of the NFL’s 50 leaders in catches. That’s a far cry from last season, when his career-high 15.2 yards per catch was seventh-best of any of the league’s top 50 receivers.Brown was asked if there was any explanation for the downtick this season. As he is known to do at times, Brown’s answer was part defiant and part peculiar.“Watch the tape,” Brown said. “If you watch the tape, (you’ll see). Just watch the tape, man. Right now Morgan Burnett Jersey , winning is important, Big plays will come, and then they’ll continue to come. 鈥?What we’ve got to do is continue to win.”By most mortal measures, Brown is not off to a poor start to the season, his ninth in the NFL. Now 30 years old, he is on pace for 128 catches and ranked tied for fourth in that category after three games. He also has two touchdown catches. But the lack of big plays is concerning. He has just two receptions of at least 20 yards after finishing in the top three in the NFL of that category in each of the past three seasons, averaging almost 25 per season. He also has been one of the top two in the league at 40-plus yard passes two of the past three years, but has none thus far in 2018, albeit in a sample size of just three games.“There’s a lot of football left to be played; we know eventually we will start to connect down the field,” said Brown, who for the first time missed a sizable portion of training camp because of injury. “But right now winning is important, and the rest is (not).”When Big Ben leaves, the party begins in Steelers locker roomBy: Jeremy Fowler, ESPNThe locker room was fairly calm when Ben Roethlisberger walked out of it Friday afternoon.A few minutes later, Drake blared from Cam Heyward’s corner. Defensive backs in the area broke out various Fortnite dances before Heyward switched up the pace with “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. That the needle dropped when the quarterback departed was no coincidence.”You’ve got to respect what he wants Sutton Smith Pittsburgh Steelers Jersey ,” Darrius Heyward-Bey said. “He’s not here, it’s party time.”There’s an unwritten rule in the Steelers locker room that Roethlisberger works to protect -- no blaring loud music during core business hours.Players cultivate a casual, laugh-heavy atmosphere each day, but from 8 a.m. until post-practice showers between 3 and 4 p.m., musical silence is black and golden.Roethlisberger says the Steelers’ setup has been this way since he arrived in 2004 and veterans such as Alan Faneca and Brett Keisel kept the speakers off. Now, at 36, Roethlisberger is upholding the tradition, though he’s not trying to be the get-off-my-lawn dad.“That’s one of the reasons they invented headphones, so you can listen to your music,” said Roethlisberger with a laugh. “If you want to listen to music, that’s no problem, we just don’t want to have to hear it at other people’s lockers. It’s just kind of always been that tradition and we try to keep it going.”
